Contemporary Modular Building Company – Delivering More Than a Home
The story of Modular Dwelling began as many great ideas do – a simple conversation in 2013. Northland builder and designer Davey Briggs was sharing a quiet moment with a long time colleague reflecting on the state of housing. What began as a casual exchange evolved into something far more significant, as they explored the growing challenges people faced in securing homes that were not only affordable, but thoughtfully designed and tailored to individual needs.
Even then, they recognised the emerging pressures that have since become so evident today, home ownership slipping out of reach for many, rising rental costs and a shifting desire for more intentional sustainable living. They saw an opportunity to respond with smarter bespoke housing solutions, whether for those looking to downsize, simplify their lifestyle, or reduce their environmental footprint.
Modular Dwellings offers a range of bespoke Modular Dwellings, each carefully designed to reflect the unique requirements of its owner. From elegant studio spaces to one, two, three and four bedroom residences, every design is fully customisable allowing for a truly personalised home that aligns seamlessly with your lifestyle and budget.
Modular Dwellings designs and supplies innovative Kitset Homes that combine sustainable construction with modern prefabricated designs. Built with renewable technologies and eco-friendly principles, our homes are easy to transport, quick to assemble, and adaptable to a range of lifestyles and locations. A variety of cladding options are available to suit different budgets, allowing you to create a home that meets both your style and financial requirements.
Being environmentally conscious, we strive to minimise waste by repurposing surplus materials from our Modules into practical and sustainable products for sale. These include Garden Sheds, Raised Garden Beds, Chook Houses, Dog Kennels, and Bird Boxes.
We also utilise materials to manufacture a range of pest control traps with our local ‘Mens Shed’, ensuring that valuable resources are used wherever possible. This commitment to sustainability helps reduce waste while creating useful products that support the community & environment.
Quality materials and workmanship are at the core of every build. All modules and Kitsets are constructed to meet upto date building code regulations – with certificate of compliance issued.
As a licensed Building Practioner (LPB) Davey brings both technical expertise and a deep sense of pride with every project he undertakes, ensuring each home reflects the highest standard of design and construction.
